A car with a legendary marking, the quintessence of racing passion and experience from the last 50 years of M GmbH engineering. The brand’s most expensive car in history. The quintessence and embodiment of perfection.
A car that allows us to touch history through the best technologies currently available. Light, modern design referring to the classics, a simple 6-cylinder in-line engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox. These are the features that have accompanied the brand for the last 50 years of success.
The 3.0CSL is not only sporty but also very exclusive. The cars will be assembled by hand, and only 50 units will be sold. Don’t look at your bank account, all of them have already been sold for as little as EUR 750,000. Looking at the significantly reduced number of models released, cars that have not yet been produced are already gaining in value.
Following on from its progenitor, the racing version of the historic BMW 3.0 CSL won the European Touring Car Championship in its inaugural season in 1973. And repeated the title five more times in a row between 1975 and 1979. Drivers such as Toine Hezemans, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Chris Amon and Niki Lauda left the competition behind at the Nürburgring and many other tracks, and already in 1975 BMW achieved its first victories on American tracks. All these successes contributed to BMW’s racing cars gaining international popularity.
3.0 CSL follows in the footsteps of its ancestor. Characteristic, powerfully shaped wheel arches, an eye-catching rear spoiler and many other details undoubtedly refer to the style of the legendary coupe from the 1970s.
Each element was made with care and with reference to history. The whole creates a timeless, elegant racer that is hard to take your eyes off. A technological masterpiece.
In terms of technical data, the power increased to 560 HP and 550 NM with a weight of 1624 KG.
Let’s leave the timing aside, there is definitely a big difference compared to the M4 CSL.
Once again.. Beautiful perfect car
